Advancing your career in construction begins with apprenticeship and leads to trade certification the mark of a qualified journeyperson in a skilled trade. Through its apprenticeship program, VanAsep Training Society will help you learn the skills you need to earn your provincial and national certification and so much more.

VANASEP TRAINING SOCIETY:

  • provides a link to apprenticeship registration, tracking and access to accredited training
  • is working with First Nations, Metis and other Aboriginal communities to develop assessment tools and aptitude tests for trades training. New partnerships with SkillPlan B.C. mean resources are now available for upgrading your skills in your local community. TOWES assessment is now available at your local Aboriginal employment services center
  • provides resources for all apprentices, including an apprenticeship tool allowance, mobility assistance, training assistance and training allowance with taking the in-school portion of the apprenticeship program
  • teams you with a training advisor for support, both in the classroom and on the job throughout your apprenticeship, provincial certification and nation Red Seal endorsement
  • can help you reach back and make sure that all your employment hours have been tracked and recognized towards your goal of obtaining a certificate of qualification

WITH TRADE CERTIFICATION, YOU CAN:

  • Improve your job prospects. Certified journeypersons are in demand and can have their pick of construction jobs.
  • Expand your career options. With dozen of construction-related certified trades to choose from, the construction industry offers options for everyone.
  • Work anywhere in Canada. Many of the provincial certified trades also qualify for the Interprovincial Standards Red Seal Program endorsement your passport to mobility in construction trades across Canada.
